My name is Francisco Jose Grajales III, I am a Graduate Student Researcher at the Office of eHealth Strategy, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia.
If my plans are effectuated, my doctoral dissertation will evaluate the role of electronic personal health records on diabetes management by visible minorities in British Columbia. I plan to finish my first doctorate during the fall of 2011 and pursue medical studies thereafter. By trade, I am a board certified exercise physiologist and Canadian army medic.
My mission is to become a double doctor (MD, PhD) and specialize in either public health or cardiothoracic surgery. I have a passion for difficult problems without clear solutions, including trauma care - life and death solely dependent on one’s judgement. In life, as well as in medicine, I am fascinated by the convergence of ehealth, mhealth, public health, and strategy (greek etymology: strategia, “the leader of the army”).
